Forbes Magazine has named Dr. Dre the highest paid musician for 2012. Dre has earned $110 million based on his Beats by Dr. Dre headphones line. Others in the top ten include Elton John at No. 3, who made $80 million, Bon Jovi, who came in a No. 6, earning $60 million this past year and Britney Spears -- who came in at No. 7, making $58 million.

Rihanna came in at no. 12, making $53 million this past year, while Lady Gaga occupied the no. 13 spot, with $52 million. Diddy is tied with Katy Perry for the No. 14 spot ($45 million) and Beyonce holds down the No. 18 with $40 million, while hubby Jay-Z lands two spots below with $38 million.

  • Kanye was tied with Adele at No. 22 with $35 million and Sade rounded out the list at No. 25 with $33 million.
